YOU Boston is pleased to announce the start of our 2020 Fall employment programming on September 21st 2020!

Due to the ongoing covid-19 crisis, YOU Boston shifted to a virtual career training program this summer. Due to the success of this summer’s virtual model, and to ensure the continued safety of our staff and the young people we serve, we will be continuing this model through the end of December, 2020.

This year’s fall program will run for 12 weeks and offer participants up to 14 hours of paid learning experiences per week.

Throughout the season we will be partnering with a number of new and returning field experts to facilitate career training sessions in five career areas:

YOU Boston will provide each youth with industry supplies, relevant to their career field, that will allow them to gain hands-on learning experiences at home. Laptops and hotspots are also made available for those who lack technology access.

In addition to career training, youth participants will also be taking part, in career development lessons, and special weekly workshops centered on mentorship, peer support, building healthy relationships, and more.  Workshops will be facilitated by a number of agency partners including, Mass Mentoring Partnership, One Love, and the Peer Health Exchange.

More updates to come as we, continue into our new 2020 fall season!
